CLEANER AND COOLER CASTINGS
The design of GK’s rotary drums lead to improved dust collection and cooling, pulling air through the perforated deck, around the castings, and up through the collection ports. The ambient air wicks away hot air and steam, cooling castings to reduce possible surface defects.
BETTER PERFORMANCE
Clear access between the drum body and conveyor allows for cleaning and inspection of both the rotary drum and the media conveyor below, as well as eliminating material jams.

XL Series Rotary Drums
GK drums now come in two different configurations. The XL series is the new standard in rotary drum technology. Using a vibratory conveyor instead of the drum body to convey unders and media, GK has eliminated the need for your to replace the entire drum body due to wear. And no more plugging, jamming, patching, or sweeping. How’s that for savings?
SL Series Rotary Drums
NEW FOR 2013! The SL series of GK rotary drums use the traditional method of using the inner shell of the drum to convey material back to the inlet sand discharge / media return wheel, but are easier to service. Bolt in liner panels are easier to replace, and allow easy access to the area betwen the liner and the body for quick cleaning and repair. DUCTA-SERIES SL bodies are also available as a retrofit for existing rotary drum drive structures, so you can upgrade existing installations without completely converting your foundry line.
Innovative GK Liner System
Both DUCTA-SERIES models use GK’s proven Lock-tite liner system, which utilizes fabricated bolt-in liners that offer long life and easy replacement. Of all the GK rotary drums in the field, not one GK drum has required a complete liner change to date, which is great for your maintenance department and budget.
