Customer Focus
Quality is not a department within General Kinematics; quality requirements are integrated into all of our processes and permeate our culture - every individual at GK is responsible for the quality of our products and services. We focus on our customers; because only our customer can define value and quality. We need our customers to communicate their ideas, requirements, and concerns; therefore we measure quality performance through customer satisfaction.

Process improvement
General Kinematics has a large investment in equipment, buildings and inventory, but this investment does not make our company successful - OUR PEOPLE DO. We are driven by the quest for continual improvement in all operations, and quality improvement is achieved by the experts – the workers closest to the process. Our teams analyze the way tasks are accomplished rather than simply what tasks are accomplished in order to eliminate waste and variation and to maintain an organized and safe workplace. We also involve our subcontractors and suppliers in improvement activities and train them to perform to our quality standards.

ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Registration
Inspection of the process is as important as inspection of the product. General Kinematics continues to demonstrate our commitment to quality by maintaining registration with ISO 9001 and in 2010 we completed recertification to the latest standard ISO 9001:2008. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for the quality management of businesses. It supports our continual improvement goals while providing a standard - through which we can contract outside agencies to audit our quality systems and which customers recognize.
