What is Frac Sand?
Hydraulic Fracturing, commonly referred to as “Frac”, is applied to wells for shale gas, tight gas, tight oil, and coal seam gas. Properly engineered fracturing fluid will keep an induced hydraulic fracture open during the fracturing treatment. This fluid, in many cases, contains high-purity quartz sand with very durable and very round grains. This sand is typically combined with water and other chemicals and pumped into the fracture to liberate the petroleum fluids.
Separating and Drying Solutions.
