INVENTORY ANALYST

Responsibilities include overall accuracy of the physical inventory and the warehouse location system.  Management of cycle counting, auditing, inventory adjustment, item maintenance as well as ensuring precise inventory numbers for purchasing/sales and exact locations for ordering picking/restocking.  Additionally, this position is responsible for forecasting product and managing inventory levels to achieve the highest customer service.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in materials management function.
  • International business experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory practices
  • Advanced excel skills along with prior experience with integrated ERP software.
  • Ability to work quickly, logically and accurately under pressure.

 

APPLICATION SALES ENGINEER

Responsibilities include preparing proposals and estimations, complete pre-engineering documents/drawings and provide support for customers in a domestic regional territory.  Additional responsibilities include interaction with purchasing, engineering and production, and managing and conform to ISO procedures.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Technical Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in machine design is required.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work quickly, logically and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

OUTSOURCE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Currently, we are seeking an Outsource Manufacturing Engineer for our facility located in Dusseldorf, Germany.  This position acts as the key technical interface between GKE and our outsource manufacturing vendors.  While stationed out of Dusseldorf, the position requires substantial travel to our outsource partner locations currently in Italy, the UK, Germany and Slovakia.  This position negotiates contracts to build our equipment and then oversees the work is done to our manufacturing specifications.  On-time shipments of our products are a key to our success and this position is heavily affected by these delivery dates. 

The ideal candidates will possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of ten years of work related experience, minimum of five years within GK.  Welding and equipment assembly experience a must.
    • Proven management skills.
    • Previous documented project management skills.
    • An effective negotiator.
    • Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
    • Outstanding English capabilities- verbal and written.
    • Must have the ability to travel extensively to outsourcing partners to manage the production of our equipment.
    • Multiple languages a plus.

 

REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

  • Industry knowledge within foundry, recycling, or oil & gas, a plus
  • Working knowledge of CAD, a plus
  • Strong time management skills

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Currently, we are seeking Field Service Technicians for our facility located in Crystal Lake, IL and for our office in Wuppertal, Germany.  Responsibilities include supervision of installation, supervision of fabrication, test and tune of equipment, startup & commissioning, modification and troubleshooting of the equipment and Component part sales.  This position requires weekend availability and extensive worldwide travel.

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Flexible to meet traveling needs as dictated by customers.
  • Ability to work quickly, logically and accurately under pressure.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

 

Currently, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in our Technical Services department. Responsibilities include answering incoming calls with a warm and professional greeting and accurately gathering relevant information for the technical services team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with heavy data entry and working in a fast paced environment. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and task-oriented individual who is able to work independently with minimal oversight.

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Clear speaking voice and positive manner.
  • Able to engage with callers while typing and reviewing information simultaneously.
  • PC proficient; able to navigate between multiple applications simultaneously and with data entry.
  • 6+ months of Customer Service experience—Direct contact with customer via phone or in person.
  • Call center experience a PLUS, not required.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues via phone or email
  • Route technical support calls to the appropriate product specialist or technical group
  • Advanced excel skills along with prior experience with integrated ERP software.
