REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities include:

  • Generates opportunities to meet or exceed assigned targets by driving strategic buying decisions within a defined territory
  • Grows new business by aggressively identifying and closing sales opportunities across an assigned territory
  • Creating an active sales pipeline and accurately forecasting closed sales
  • Understanding and willingness to drive new business through Rep Network
  • Conducts initial sales assessments and establishes criteria to convert leads into opportunities
  • Uses consultative selling skills to develop value propositions for complex opportunities
  • Ensures customer satisfaction, by managing both existing and new customers during the sales cycle
  • Utilizing knowledge of our product and understanding of the customer’s business to develop customized, highly engineered proposals
  • Collaborates with internal stake holders to ensure that delivery capability matches the proposed solution
  • Maintains a high level of product, industry and service knowledge

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree, preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Travel will be required, estimated at 50% to 75%
  • Ability and willingness to work within CRM
  • Industry knowledge within foundry, recycling, or oil & gas, a plus
  • Working knowledge of CAD, a plus
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

COMPONENT SALES SPECIALIST

Responsibilities Include:

  • Generates opportunities to meet or exceed assigned targets by focusing on the customer’s experience, providing timely quotes, and being an expert on GK product
  • Process quotations for customized engineered component parts, weldments, and stocked items
  • Creating an active sales pipeline and accurately forecasting closed sales
  • Collaborates with internal stake holders to ensure that delivery capability matches the proposed solution for component or contractual orders
  • Ability and willingness to work within an ERP (Syteline) & CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Review inquiries from customers and the sales network for component parts and services and identify the best solution
  • Analyze quotation success rate regularly and report metrics
  • Identify, specify and quote all component opportunities in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Create & update all installed base databases & keep customer relationship tools updated across the business
  • Utilize specialized technical/product knowledge to sell and promote products and/or services
  • Enter orders through ERP (Syteline) for review by Application Engineers (AE)
  • Setup new & review existing customers in ERP to ensure proper financial reviews are complete
  • Research prices for custom projects and work with AE’s to price appropriately
  • Maintain all leads, quotes and installed base within Salesforce.com & Syteline
  • Sell direct to end-user and indirect through our rep network
  • Assists sales support/marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion or training

 

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering and CAD a plus
  • More than 3 years of experience in a sales or engineering related field
  • Minimal travel, estimated at 5% to 10%
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

APPLICATION SALES ENGINEER

Responsibilities include preparing proposals and estimations, complete pre-engineering documents/drawings and provide support for customers in a domestic regional territory.  Additional responsibilities include interaction with purchasing, engineering and production, and managing and conform to ISO procedures.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Technical Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in machine design is required.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work quickly, logically and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • A dedicated and hard worker with a healthy, positive attitude toward individual, team and company goals.

OUTSOURCE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Currently, we are seeking an Outsource Manufacturing Engineer for our facility located in Dusseldorf, Germany.  This position acts as the key technical interface between GKE and our outsource manufacturing vendors.  While stationed out of Dusseldorf, the position requires substantial travel to our outsource partner locations currently in Italy, the UK, Germany and Slovakia.  This position negotiates contracts to build our equipment and then oversees the work is done to our manufacturing specifications.  On-time shipments of our products are a key to our success and this position is heavily affected by these delivery dates.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of ten years of work related experience, minimum of five years within GK.  Welding and equipment assembly experience a must.
    • Proven management skills.
    • Previous documented project management skills.
    • An effective negotiator.
    • Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
    • Outstanding English capabilities- verbal and written.
    • Must have the ability to travel extensively to outsourcing partners to manage the production of our equipment.
    • Multiple languages a plus.

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Currently, we are seeking Field Service Technicians for our facility located in Crystal Lake, IL and for our office in Wuppertal, Germany.  Responsibilities include supervision of installation, supervision of fabrication, test and tune of equipment, startup & commissioning, modification and troubleshooting of the equipment and Component part sales.  This position requires weekend availability and extensive worldwide travel.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Flexible to meet traveling needs as dictated by customers.
  • Ability to work quickly, logically and accurately under pressure.
  • A dedicated and hard worker with a healthy, positive attitude toward individual, team and company goals.

WELDERS

This position is responsible for welding various materials following AWS standards and specified GKC requirements to produce a quality weldment.   Additionally, this position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Engineering, Quality and other areas within Production.

 

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of wire fed MIG welding experience.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
