Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how (the “Site”), owned and maintained by General Kinematics Corporation (“we,” “our” or “us”), collects information about you (“User(s),” “you” or “yours”).  It governs the manner in which information is gathered through the Site, how we treat the information, how we collect it, how we use it and share it, and what choices you have regarding it. Non-Personal Information

We collect non-personal information about Users whenever they interact with the Site. From time to time, we automatically collect certain information that in some instances may be considered personal information such as the IP address of your computer. We also automatically collect other non-personal information such as the time and date of your visit, the browser name, pages visited, visit duration, mouse and swipe actions, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to the Site, such as the operating system, Internet service providers utilized, and other similar information.

Web Browser Cookies

The Site uses “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to be alerted when cookies are being sent. If you do so, note that some features of the Site may not function properly. The Site uses third-party technology, like Google Analytics (GA), to help analyze how Users interact with the Site. GA does not collect personal identifiers, just numbers associated with Users’ devices, and demographic data is only available from Chrome users. By using the Site, you agree to the use and processing of your data by Google, as described above with data retention settings set to not expire. III.          How We Use Collected Information

General Kinematics collects and uses Users’ personal information for the following purposes:


To improve customer service

Information you provide helps us respond to customer service requests and support needs more


To personalize User experience

We use information in the aggregate to understand how the Users of the Site as a group use the services and resources provided on the Site.

To improve the Site

We use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.


To service orders and process payments

We use the personal information Users provide when placing an order only to service that order and process payment. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service and process payment.


To send periodic emails

We use the User’s email address to send User information and updates pertaining to an order. It is also used to respond to inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. Only if Users decide to select the empty checkbox to opt-in to our mailing list will they receive emails including company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time Users would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.


IV.          How We Protect Collected Information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored via the Site.

Sensitive personal information exchanged between the Site and its Users happens over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.


V.          Sharing Your Personal Information


We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal information to others. We share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personally identifiable information regarding visitors and Users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes, provided that you have given us your permission.


VI.          The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)


In addition to your other rights in this Privacy Policy, California law provides additional rights for consumers that are California residents, imposing certain obligations on businesses that are subject to the CPRA.

A consumer has the right to request a business for the categories of personal information that have been collected, the categories of sources from which the personal information was collected, the commercial purpose for collecting the personal information, the categories of third parties to whom the personal information is disclosed, and the specific pieces of personal information that the business has collected about the consumer. Where we serve EU or UK consumers or collect their personal information, such information is protected by the standard contractual clauses according to the EU GDPR and UK GDPR. Under the GDPR, you have the right to ask us for access to and a copy of your personal information that we hold on you, a copy of your personal information that you provided to us, to update or correct your personal information in order to make it accurate, to delete your personal information from our records in certain circumstances, and to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

General Kinematics has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to visit this page for any changes to stay informed about how we protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of any modifications.
