In the June Issue of Modern Casting, Waupaca Foundry was named 2018 Metalcaster of the year for their efforts towards efficient and sustainable practices.

Waupaca Foundry, Inc. has reduced energy usage by 18.9%, landfill byproducts by an impressive 71.3%, and water usage by 22%. In addition to these benchmarks, Waupaca Foundry increased their product yield and furthermore, was awarded the ISO 50001 Energy Management Certification.

Starting their focus environmental issues, safety, quality, people, cost, and responsiveness in 2010, Waupaca Foundry has since made substantial strides to improve their process continually.

General Kinematics would like to congratulate Waupaca Foundry on achieving this recognition and applaud their previous and continuing efforts towards corporate responsibility. We have witnessed first hand the dedication to sustainability within Waupaca Foundry that has earned them the title Metalcaster of the Year.
