Storage Discharge System for Wood

Wood Feeding and Activation in a Single, Low Profile Machine.

General Kinematics Storage Discharge System is a state-of-the-art solution for feeding and metering wood. It is designed to perform three distinct operations:

  • Activation
  • Feeding
  • Flow control

The GK Storage Discharge System does this all simultaneously and through the same machine by combining the flow control characteristics of an enclosed vibrating feeder with proven bin activation. Since the unit discharges material vertically to the conveyor below, loading is always centered and symmetrical. This feature helps eliminate belt tracking problems that are common to side feeding. It also helps eliminate bridging and other issues found with other metering options.

Applications

Expanding applications for controlling the flow of wood and adapting it to processing requirements have developed considerable interest in stockpiling and wood reclaimation systems. The flexibility and variety of designs are limited only by the ingenuity of design engineers.

Benefits

  • Unique center dome design works as a pile activator or vibratory hopper bottom to help move difficult materials.
  • Compact, low equipment profile reduces civil work and foundation costs, fits in tight spaces, and simplifies installation.
  • Fully controllable for infinite variable linear feed rates to link with automated control systems – accurately controls various proportioning and blending operations.
  • Versatile design adapts to reclaim in windows, storage barns, silos, truck or rail hopper.s
  • Two-Mass drive design operates under full load conditions.
  • Drive is located out of material flow for easier maintenance.
