When working with metals in a foundry, hazardous materials such as molten metal and scrap need to be safely transferred to and from furnaces throughout the process. Furnace charging machines can safely and efficiently transfer molten (“charged”) materials to furnaces to streamline foundry operations. CYRUS Mobile Charging Machines are a versatile and durable solution for all your furnace loading and material handling needs. We design our charge feeders for various types of furnaces while maintaining a small footprint, low energy consumption, and incurring low operating costs.
Each machine includes traveling gear, a bin, a vibratory trough conveyor, and electrical controls. Being railborne, they can travel vertically, horizontally, or in any other direction as needed. Upon request, we can design your charge feeder to fit a semi-mobile supporting frame to be moved by a forklift truck.
At CYRUS, ensuring the sustainability of our equipment, including our furnace charge feed, is of utmost importance. The unique sandwich construction, which uses low-RPM vibratory motors, ensures that it operates with minimal noise, thanks to the rugged welded/screw-fastened, vibration-resistant design. Our models can also use clean energy, such as solar power, to help you achieve your sustainability goals.
