FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: General Kinematics Celebrates 60 Years of Innovation

This September, General Kinematics honors its 60th anniversary. GK thanks its employees, customers, and community for their continued support! It is the culmination of talent from every GK employee that has led General Kinematics to where it is today.

Located in Crystal Lake, IL, General Kinematics is led by the founder’s grandson, Tom Musschoot. The in-house manufacturing has grown to a 220,000 square foot modern fabrication facility, utilizing the latest material cutting, forming, and welding technology. GK has also expanded it’s global manufacturing footprint to include outsourced fabrication partners in Canada, China, England, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Thailand.

Al Musschoot

Founded in 1960 in a small storefront on Rt. 14 in Barrington, IL, by Albert Musschoot and began with nothing more than a box of letterhead, an electric typewriter, and a grapefruit crate to use as a desk. The demand for GK vibratory equipment grew rapidly, and by 1975, after carefully investigating the possibilities, GK built a fabrication facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In 1998, Paul Musschoot took over leadership after the untimely passing of his father, Al. Paul led the company’s growth across multiple new markets and established manufacturing facilities and offices worldwide.

No OEM of vibratory equipment has consistently produced more innovative ideas and problem-solving application techniques than General Kinematics. For 60 years, General Kinematics has maintained an unwavering reputation for providing design leadership, creative design concepts, and the most rugged and reliable equipment construction.

60 YEARS AND STILL GROWING!
