FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: General Kinematics 40 Year Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce Member

On Wednesday, October 4th members of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce made their way to the corporate office of General Kinematics. The ambassadors, leading the way with the signature rich green blazers, walked in and shook hands with Mr. Tom Musschoot (President of General Kinematics). Presenting him a plaque honoring the 40th anniversary of GK’s membership, Crystal Lake Chamber President Mary Margaret Maule, congratulated GK for 40 years of dedication to the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and applauded the work done for the community since becoming a member in 1977. Highlighting GK’s Community Pantry support, Mr. Musschoot recognized Julie Snave as a champion for this cause throughout the company for many years.

After the ceremony, the Chamber members toured the General Kinematics facility. Starting with the motors and parts department, moving through material and product testing, to fabrication. “Even the smallest part is important to us,” Tom explained while holding a bearing. “We precision engineer everything because it’s what our customers deserve”.

That same commitment has been seen throughout the Crystal Lake community as well in the past 40 years, through fundraising to support STEM programs at the local schools to running in the annual McHenry County Human Race. General Kinematics is committed to our local community and celebrates the history of this alliance and beneficial partnership with the community to look forward to for years to come.
