Our customers are amazing and we wanted to show them off! GK also published multiple customer profiles over 2017 to do just that.
3.)Healthiest companies in America
General Kinematics made the list of healthiest companies in America provided by interactive health.
4.)Start of President’s Blog
Our very own President, Tom Musschoot started the President’s Blog segment through the GK Blog. His contributions have been such a hit that we can now read his insightful blog posts once a month! Check out his posts so far.
5.)MBL Customer appreciation luncheon
Here at GK we always revel in a chance to celebrate our customers. This year we had the chance to celebrate the long-term partnership we have had with MBL Recycling in Palatine with fajitas and cupcakes.
6.)Trade Shows
General Kinematics popped up at 23 trade shows this year. The chance to meet all of you in person has been amazing and we can’t wait to see you again in 2018!
7.)40 years on CL Chamber of Commerce
2017 marks the 40th year of GK’s involvement in the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. This momentous event was celebrated with a plaque and personal shop tour from Tom Musschoot.
8.)New Product Launch
The General Kinematics FINGER-SCREEN™ 2.0 has made waves in 2017. The new and improved unit with longer throwing ability to increase processing power has been a smash hit.
9.)I Make America Visit
At the end of April, Congressman Peter Roskam visited General Kinematics to discuss how policy deliberations in Congress affect manufacturers such as GK. During the I Make America event, Roskam met with GK employees to answer questions and receive their input.
10.)More New Products
VIBRA-MILL® Vibratory Lump Breaker
This new lump breaking product that uses high energy to break apart clumps without damaging it with blades.
Double Barrel Grinding Drum
Using high energy to break down material in a simple design that reduces cost.
High-Frequency Screener Feeder
Utilizing a new patented spring design this feeder/screener uses natural frequency to increase your processing power and provide for maximum placement flexibility.
11.)Dick Reeves CDRA Board
Our very own Director of Resource Recovery Dick Reeves became a member of the CDRA Board. Dick is excited to continue advancing the recycling of C&D.
12.)Brake Press
General Kinematics installed a hydraulic brake press assisting in the building process and allowing GK to manufacture more efficiently and reduce production time.
13.) New Applications
The ASR VIBRA-DRUM® Grinding Mill grinds up rock and glass to reveal the additional recyclable resources from auto scrap.
14.)Claude Hutchens’ Foundry Safety Series
GK’s Director of Foundry Market Claude Hutchens published a series on foundry safety to promote awareness.
15.)Community Contributions
General Kinematics employees have contributed to multiple fundraisers and volunteering events throughout 2017. Raising thousands of dollars for charities like Toys for Tots, donating 729 pounds of food to the local food drive, as well as school supplies to our local schools. Not to mention those that donated their time for charity, supporting S.T.E.M. at local high schools and sponsoring S.T.E.M. clubs.
16.)Maintenance videos
We invested in our customers this year by adding four new maintenance videos to our channel to improve maintenance processes.
17.)Case Studies
Twelve new case studies have been added to the blog in 2017 to help GK customers make informed decisions.
We would like to thank everyone that helped to make 2017 such a fantastic year, especially our GK customers that drive us to succeed in everything we do. General Kinematics will be working hard to continue this spirit of success through 2018.
